Happy Fathers day to the man who provides for us, takes care of us and serves our country! I know you can't always be home and spend time with us as much as you would like, but we are proud of you and all you do for us and others! You are a great Dad and a lot of fun with the kiddos! HAPPY DAD DAY TO YOU!!!!

This is Cliff Henderson with a message for Duane. I was one of his professors at MidAmerica. Danni, you don't know me, but, I am fairly certain that you have heard of me. Duane was one of my favorite students. I have a message for him. This Spring semester was my last teaching at MNU. My Parkinson's has gotten bad enough that teaching has become very difficult. In addition to that, since January this year, I have developed a seriously pinched nerve in my lower back which is interfering with my walking and even standing. It is also giving me great pain. So, I have stepped down. My students have been very kind. On the Sunday the week before commencement, several of the took me for lunch to Jackstack for Barbeque. During the week previous, the Humanities held a reception for the 4 of us who are leaving. But the History majors approached Paul Williams and Mark Hamilton and said "That is not good enough. We want a reception for us and Mr. Henderson." So, they did that on the Monday after the trip for BBQ. All of the History majors wrote out stories of their memories of me. Most of the mentioned the hammer that will fix cell phones that go off in class. I was a little surprised at the intensity of their feelings for me. It was, however, a pleasant surprise. Several of them are, so far, keeping in contact with me on Facebook. Are you all on Facebook? So, what is it that you are doing, now that you are no longer flying? Or can you tell me? I would very much like to hear from you. Danni, you are a lovely young woman who has proved to be a marvelous wife to Duane. I am grateful for that. So, I thank you. I also thank you for your service to this country and to me. I understand that it is not just the service man who sacrifices for his service to this country, but his family as well. So, I thank you. Thank you also for allowing me to keep up with Duane. You have a lovely family and those kids are growing like weeds. She is going to be a heart breaker in a few years. She no longer looks like a little girl. Cliff Henderson
