Made it to the "BIG D".
For all those of you who don't know what the "BIG D" stands for its Dallas Texas. I arrived in Dallas today and not without a little adventure to my journey. Here is how it went...I found a ticket to Dallas from Ontario, CA airport for $97 non-stop, ya can't beat that, it was scheduled for March 8th, so my sister Amy who I was staying with for a week drove me to the airport helped me check my bags, and stroller and car seat in, (gotta love all the extra baggage ya gotta take when you have a Kiddo.) I went thru security and was all ready and waiting at the gate to board my Non-stop flight to Dallas, when the Gate agent announces that they may cancel the flight cause 1 of the lavatories wasn't working, not all of them just 1, she said the previous Pilot was fine with flying the plane but that our Pilot won't fly it unless it gets fixed...She said if it doesn't we will all have to re-book on other airlines or wait till 8:30p.m. for their next flight...Our flight was scheduled for 2:30 so to think of having to stay in the airport with Trei till 8:30 was not a happy thought to say the least..So I prayed that wouldn't happen...Minutes later the agent gets back on the loud speaker and says the lavatory was not able to be fixed so everyone has to claim their baggage and rebook their flights. My heart sunk, it was hard enough to wheel my bags and hold Trei when Amy was helping me, but on my own would have been impossible. But ya do what ya gotta do, so I went back downstairs and waited in Line along with all the other perturbed passengers for 30 minutes, then all of a sudden the agent came running out and said "Everyone, go back thru security, the Manager of the Pilots called our pilot and told him if he wanted to keep his job that he has to fly the plane, you have to hurry up and get on the flight". So we hurried back up and thru security and caught our flight, inspite all of that I have to say I was RELIEVED as I don't know what I would have done if I had to wait at the airport for 6 hours with Trei. All that to say we made it to "The Big D" safely and Trei is having a fun time with his grandparents and his cousins...Now that I am finally in somewhat of a "Permanent situation" at least for a few months, I will be posting Photos and posts, so stay tuned!
