Peach Blossom

I am so proud of Trei, not only was he selected as the 1st grade alternate for the Spelling Bee, but he participated in reciting a poem along with his class at Fresno State University for "Peach Blossom." His class received a "Superior" rating for their poem, Rat for lunch. He has been studying and working so hard at school!!!

Good Site Alert!

I just found a really great website for party supplies. Its called: www.simplybirthdaystuff.com. Desiree requested a ducky theme for her 5th birthday, which is impossible to find in stores (aside from baby shower stuff) so I googled it and this site came up! They have very creative themes and are relatively inexpensive. BEST PART, they shipped my order the same day for no additional cost, and I didn't have to spend time looking around in stores! Yay! A real lifesaver for Busy Moms!!!!

Indoor Rock Climbing

Duane and I took the kids rock climbing this past weekend as a means to burn off some energy and do something different! Trei enjoyed it immensly and worked up a good sweat, while Desiree balanced on a tight rope, climbed a bit, and swung from the "rings". I took two pics with my phone!

Tree Climbing!

We went to a local park here in Hanford and what was once a small river of water has now turned into a dry waterbed filled with good climbing trees! The kids were thrilled and proud of their accomplishment of climbing out on this big limb. Granted I had to be by their side and had to help them down which I believe was more of a workout for me than them. Good times!

Happy Birthday to you Mike!!!! Hope you have a wonderful year full of new endeavors, excitement (the good kind) and many relaxing moments!!! You are an awesome Brother, I feel blessed!

1st Graders Performance in Chapel.

Trei's project was to make a Family Tree, no small task digging for pictures for the Family Tree and Heirlooms. Thanks to all who provided birthdates and pictures! It turned out beautifully and will be displayed at their Project Fair this Tuesday evening.

Desiree's project was to pick her favorite story and draw a picture of it as well as explain what portion of it was her favorite part. She picked "David and Goliath." We found some pictures online and she colored and decorated her story board.

Last week at school, grades 1st through 6th participated in a day filled with Dr. Seuss Activities in honor of his birthday. Stories, dressup and crafts were incorporated along with their daily curriculum. Here is a hat Trei and his classmates made and wore all day.

Desiree was the Mystery Student last Friday, clues were offered and everyone had to guess who it was! She took home a Pony and a certificate.
