Had to run some errands this morning that ufortuanently couldn't wait till Duane gets back and lets just say note to self "NEVER take a grumpy kid (Desiree) to a bank"..heh! Yea the bank and the grocery store, 2 places I had to go today with both kids, Trei found the bank interesting as he kept running back and forth in line to see himself in the surveillance TV but Desiree was not having it...she just said "Uh Oh, Stuck, Stuck" the whole time cause she was in the stroller...After waiting thru the whole line the banker told me I needed to go see a different Banker at a desk...heh..so thats what we did, and thankfully got our business sorted out but not after Desiree had drawn all over the ladies Desk and Trei crawlled under it..Good Times!!! Hey at least we provided some entertainment to the surveillance tech!!!

Weekend adventure

Here are some of the pics of our weekend in San Diego, the weather on the way down and up was "Wintery" to put it nicely, but after Duane found an alternate route through lower mountains we made it there and back safely having had a great time!We stayed with my parents and got to see my sister Amy & Mike, & Claire and her kiddos. Trei was so happy to see Emmer again, they played motorcycles, and filled the bathroom sink with water to float their "lego" boats. Us adults had some sushi, good beer and Grilled chicken! I also got to get my hair colored and cut while down there! Yeehaw! No pics of that though! heh! No pics of the sushi either, I think we were all too busy stuffing our faces. But here are some of the kids...

Boys will be boys! The girls! Evie, Darren & Claire's latest bundle of joy! Evan's latest masterpiece. This is what our drive down and back up looked like, snow all around at times but thankfully none on the road itself, but it made for a slower more intense drive! But it was cool to see snow, its been awhile for me.

sooo I just pulled in from San Diego, we had a fun trip, got to see my parents, and Michael & Amy, my sister Claire and her kiddos...the weather on the drive down was a bit much, lots of winds, rain and surrounded by snow through parts of mountains but we made it safe and sound..I got my hair colored and cut while we were down there, YEEHHAWW! & now we are back...long trip when the weather makes the drive a wee bit stressful and challenging (finding new routes to take to avoid snow and ice) but we are home safe and sound and ready to crash for the nite...will post pictures tomorrow after I catch some zzzzzz's and upload them!Till tomorrow!

PJ DAY

Today was pajama day at school which all the kids were excited about. They stayed in and played games and made French Toast which they of course ate too. They all looked so adorable in their PJ's.

This Christmas Duane's Grandmother passed away, she was 97 years old. I have only met her a couple times but she was always very kind, caring & a wonderful Great-Grandmother to Trei and Desiree. Please do pray for Duane and his family during this difficult time.

My favorite picture of Grandma Close with Trei when he was 3 months old.

1st Ponytail

Today is a big day in the life of our little girl, her 1st ponytail, granted its only about 20 hairs in a small ponytail but nevertheless a ponytail...Trei on the other hand has been able to do a ponytail for awhile now which he wanted to pose for too, though I am not sure if you will be able to see it admist all his curls..heh!

Bowling

We took the kids bowling a few days ago, Trei has been wanting to go since he saw "Curious George" bowl on one of his Tv shows. To be honest I wasn't sure how much he would like it but he enjoyed it soooo much that he played 2 games and wanted to play more, he even got a strike. When it was time to go home he didn't understand why he could take his bowling ball home...Here are a few of the pics I snapped.

Trying to fill Mommy's shoes.

Desiree is a typical girl she Loves clothes, shopping and shoes...Her favorite thing to do is to go into my closet and try on all my shoes and walk/trip around in them. I snapped this pic of her in my tennis shoes.

My sister Amy and boyfriend Michael came for a visit right before New Years, they stayed 2 days which was a tremendous amout of fun and the kids just absolutely adored them both. My kids LOVE reading books, once you start reading a book they bring you every book off the book shelf...so you gotta know what you are in for. Michael graciously took on this task, unknowingly I think, and Desiree just loved him for that... Thanks Michael! My Grandmother & Mom also visited one afternoon while they were here so it was a few days of fun and excitement! I of course snapped a few pics. Amy & Michael.

Trei's Birthday

Trei celebrated his 4th birthday the day after Christmas, all his friends were able to attend and we had so much fun! He woke up and we gave him our present which was a "dirt-bike" that he wanted with a horn and lites. As you can see he loved it and rode throug the house all morning long. We had his party in the afternoon with a pinata, games, his Birthday cake and presents. He had so much he didn't want his friends to go home. I can't believe our little boy is 4, time sure flies.
The Pinata still intact. gathering candy! What a rascally face no?Cake!
Presents!!!
