Happy Birthday Trei!!!

Well for some reason or another "Blogger" was not allowing me to post photos for a few days so I was unable to post Trei's Birthday Pictures...GRRR...But finally things are back up and running and here they are..and what a fun birthday we had for him the day after Christmas. We invited his friends over for an afternoon party and the the Theme was "CURIOUS GEORGE", as that is one of Trei's favorite shows right now. We let them run around a bit, jump in the bounce house & then it was time for Cake and Ice-cream...Oh yea but first we sang "Happy Birthday" to him which is his favorite thing and he blew the candle out, not once but 3 times, he kept saying "Again daddy?" and why not right? ha ha! After they stuffed their little faces with food it was time for presents and I said okay Trei you can open your presents and he said "No mama, by the tree", and began to move all his presents under the tree, he thought thats where we open presents since thats where we opened them the day before on Christmas, I thot that was cute! He loved opening his presents but loved having his friends over more!!! It was a fun party and I Can't believe our little boy is 3!!! Well not sooo little I guess since he weighs 42lbs & is 39 inches tall!!! Oh yes and while I am talking about Trei I figured I would throw in that he is reading soooo well, he is on book 8 of a 12 part series called "Tommy and Meg", he just loves to do his flashcards and is elated when he gets to start on his new book. He also points out words now while we are out or on TV or anywhere else he may see them and is starting to spell each one before after he reads it!He also can count, knows the alphabet, shapes, and colors. He is a very smart boy!!! Yes I am bragging I know, but after all thats what us Mothers are allowed to do right??? Enjoy the pics!

Opening his present from Grandma and Grandpa Moore...-A talking Vaccum cleaner that, get this...actually picks up some dirt...he always follows me around with his "Lego suitcase" pretending to vaccuum with me so this was the perfect gift..now when we are done vaccuuming he puts it away in the closet next to the "Big vaccuum". ha ha!

Christmas Day!

Merry Christmas to you our dear Family and Friends!!!
We had a wonderful Christmas, our 1st Christmas in our new home. Trei had a wonderful time decorating during the holiday and did extremely well it not opening the presents till Christmas Morning. I think when he woke up today he was surprised we let him open them. We got up and read about "The First Christmas", then Trei sang "Happy Birthday" to Jesus and then proceeded to open the presents. Desiree as you will see from the pics just loved the wrapping paper and bows and Trei had a blast opening the gifts. Thankfully this year she doesn't mind him opening her's, I think next year will be a different story! Heh. They got so many wonderful gifts from their Grandparents, Aunt's and uncles and alot of our friends, thank you everyone for your gifts, it was very thoughtful of you!
I have to say I was as excited as Trei was, I wanted to see his and Desiree's reaction to it all. Christmas really is for Kids. They make it so special and so much fun! They played with their toys all morning and we had a wonderful Dinner that evening. It was a very memorable Christmas and we are so blessed to have Duane home for Christmas!

Thank you for your prayers for Baby Noah, the operation was a success and he is showing good signs of recovery.Please do continue to pray for his recovery and continued health! Thank you so much!

Prayer Request

I would like to ask all those of you who do believe in the power of prayer to pray for our little Nephew Noah Raphael Phiri. He will be undergoing heart Surgery to repair a small hole in his heart that is affecting his breathing. He was born a few months prematurely but has been doing real well and breathing on his own, this small hole however has affected his breathing and the Doctors feel they should operate on him in the next few hours. We claim the verse: "If two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask it shall be done for them of My Father which is in Heaven"! Thanks for praying with us!

Some of these are Funny and the others, well they are just "Wrong"..But at least something to laugh at during the Holidays!Enjoy!!!

Teeth, Teeth and More Teeth!!!!

So this last month has been a real milestone for Desiree, she had a week of being up ALL NITE teething then what do you know out pops a tooth, then another and another and now she has 4, two upper, two lower and two more coming in down bottom...yea, painful for her and Oh so Tiring for us...but at least she has some "Choppers" to show for it. Heh! She is a REALLY Happy baby so I knew something was up...anyhoo here are some pics of the kids two of which show Desiree knawing on a rattle and my water bottle, trying to get some relief I guess...Yea she is at that stage where EVERYTHING goes in the mouth!!! A few other "New things" she is doing is saying "mamamamamamama" not really directed at me all the time but she will soon associate it with me, (I hope)! She isn't quite crawlling but she gets places and relatively FAST, she scoots sorta crawls, rolls and turns and before you know it she is on the other side of the room...Gotta say chasing 1 kids is tiring enough, I am in NO HURRY to have her crawlling or walking yet...Oh and books, she LOVES books, you have to read them to her over and over and over again, if you stop she starts crying and she doesn't cry much...ha ha! Well, here goes the pics!

Yes I am a delinquent Blogger, I know, I know, there just has been way too many things going on this last month not to mention getting ready for Christmas...My favorite time of the year!!! This year we decorated the day after Thanksgiving, Trei was so excited to set up the tree, put up the "Stockings", the lights outside and so on...He also knows the day after Christmas is his birthday and this year he knows what Birthday's are and can't wait. He just loves to sing Happy Birthday so in a week it will finally be his big day!!! It will be a fun and special Christmas, we can't wait, and a Merry Christmas to you all!!!

Its a Boy!!!

Congratulations to my sister-in-law Tendai and Anaclet on the birth of their son Noah Raphael Phiri. He was born December 5th, he was 27 weeks and 6 days(3 months early) weighing 2lbs. 13ozs and is doing Real well and is breathing on his own which is a total Miracle. Mommy Tendai is doing well too!Thanks so much Everyone for your prayers for them both, Please continue to pray for Noah's health and continued development over the next few months in the hospital!!!

Project completed!!!

Well I am happy to say we are Finished with a project we started at the end of October--a swingset for the kids--. There are Very few parks here and the ones that are here are very rundown and broken! We ordered this one from Home Depot and basically what it comes with is 3 swings, 2 slides and directions on how to build the frame. Duane had to go out and get the wood and as you will see cut it and put it all together. A VERY BIG JOB!!! We had the help of our brother-in-law Marco who was here for a bit and a few of our neighbours. Then when it was done we then had to prime and paint it, which was very tedious!!! But its done and the kids are loving it!!! Thanks Honey for putting it together for us!!! Here are the pics.
