We had Grandma Millie here this last week and she just left Tuesday, it was nice to see her and Trei had sooo much fun having her visit, he was showing off how he can read, go potty and of course showing her his train set...I don't blame him he is a pretty smart kid, only 2 1/2 and is learning how to read, knows his ABC's, colors, shapes and so on... He must get his smarts from his Daddy!!!
Well we had a fun time Grandma Millie, thanks for coming to see us. Here is one last picture of Grandma and Desiree in an outfit she got her.

Weekend Fun!

This last weekend Darren, Claire and Kiddos came down to see us, we took the kids to a new park that just opened near our house. I just love it as it has a Water area for the kids to cool off in. It gets pretty warm here so whoever thot of incorportaing that in their Park Plans was mighty smart. (Wish they would do that at all the parks.) After words we had a BBQ and the kids got to play together, Ella just loved Desiree and I got an adorable Pic of her and the baby!
Here are the pics!

House Update!

So we are approved for the loan on the house we liked so much up in Hanford and if all goes well we should be signing Docs as early as Next Friday or a week after that...exciting no? We are still awaiting OFFICIAL ORDERS for Duane which will let us know when we will be moving but we should be getting those next week as well..so things are moving along pretty fast. I am gonna miss San Diego as I have been here for so long and know all the cool places for kids, shopping, eating etc...plus my family is here, but changes are good for us right? And thankfully we won't be moving too terribly far so I am sure we will back to visit!!!!

Bug Phobia...

Okay this is kinda funny, about a week ago Trei tells me that he has "Bug Ears", I am like WHAT???? you have Bugs in your ears??? Of course a million things flash thru my head, "Does he really, if so what kind of bug, if not, did he perhaps put something small in his ears"? and so on....I kept asking him about it and he kept saying "Bugs Ear" I asked my Mom and Duane if he had one fly into his ears while out with them, they said No, Duane then said "Perhaps its his hair as its kinda long"...I wasn't too sure about that so I am like "Great, lets take a look"...Don't see anything in his ear at all, but of course I wanna be sure so I call the pediatrician to schedule an appt. the only appt they have is at 7a.m. the next morning, so I took it of course to "Make sure" there was nothing in his ear...but does it have to be at 7a.m.??? So I get up and take him in, the Doc sees him and guess what...NOTHING was in his ear, I asked the Doc to double check or to see if perhaps he had an ear infection..nope, nada, zip!!! The Doc said, "His ears look great, you can't even tell he has ever had problems with them at all". Of course I was relieved that he didn't have anything in his ears, so I told him there are NO BUGS IN YOUR EARS....He kept saying it for days so we decided it was time to get him a hair cut since it had to be that...oh well, all that due to his hair overlapping on to his ears....He for some reason,---- and this is only recently been paranoid of bugs, who knows why but everything is about bugs this and bugs that!!!

Mexico

So this weekend we went down to Rosarita, (yes finally), to visit with my sister and brother-in-law as they were down there with their kids for a mini-vacation. It was spur of the moment, we woke up Saturday and said "Lets Go"...It was a lot of fun, we spent the day at their summer house on the beach and then we took the kids to the beach which Trei just absolutely LOVED...he is a dare-devil nothing scares him, he wanted to go running into the water by himself, ya think that when the water pulls back it would scare him but No he just laughed and laughed, the best part for me was to see his face and how much he was enjoying it! Afterwords we took the kids out to get popsicles and the guys went to get some GOOD MEXICAN FOOD!!! I have been craving a TORTA For years, ever since we moved from Mexico when I was 13 I haven't been able to find a good Torta and finally yes I found one and it was DELICIOUS!!! The guys got Burritos and Quesadillas and some good Mexican Beer. It was a Great time! I took sooo many pictures, can't post them all here but here are a good bunch!!!

Dining out!

This week has been a real busy one for us, Duanes Squadron is decommisioning so he was busy with events all week long. I went to one of them, the Final Screwbird Dining out on the flight deck aboard the MIDWAY, it was good time there was alot of people, former "Screwbirds" and present ones. We had a lovely Buffet and drinks and dancing! They also had Open Mic for Former CO's and anyone else who wanted to chime in with old stories. Its sad in a way to say Good bye to everyone and "Close the doors" so to speak on VS-33 Screwbird Squadron, but we gotta move on to bigger and better things I guess. Anyhoo here are some pics from the nite!

Emmer's Party!!!

My sister and Brother-in-law invited us over for Emmer's birthday party on Wednesday, they had it all set up for ages 2-3 which included a bubble machine, balloons, music and a kiddie pool and of course Cheese cake, Ice-cream and popsicles. Trei had so much as did we watching him playing with his cousins. The funniest thing was when I had Trei give Emmer his Birthday present, I had explained to him that it was Emmer's Birthday and that we got him a present and that we were gonna sing "Happy Birthday" (Which Trei loves to sing), anyways when it came time to give the present to Emmer he started crying for it and then once the present was opened he took it and ran around the house with Emmer chasing after him...My sister and I were laughing and laughing, finally we distracted Trei with another of Emmer's birthday presents so that Emmer could play with his new toy! Ha ha! It was a fun time, Thanks for the invite Claire and Darren!!!!

The infamous present we got Emmer that Trei wanted!!!

--BLACK ROBBERS---

She must have felt soooo stupid after this: David Letterman's take on this (and it's a true story...)
On a recent weekend in Atlantic City, a woman won a bucketful of quarters at a slot machine. She took a break from the slots for dinner with her husband in the hotel dining room. But first she wanted to stash the quarters in her room. "I'll be right back and we'll go to eat," she told her husband and carried the coin-laden bucket to the elevator.
As she was about to walk into the elevator she noticed two men already aboard. Both were black. One of them was tall...very tall...an intimidating figure. The woman froze. Her first thought was: These two are going to rob me. Her next thought was: Don't be a bigot, they look like perfectly nice gentlemen. But racial stereotypes are powerful, and fear immobilized her. She stood and stared at the two men. She felt anxious, flustered, and ashamed. She hoped they didn't read her mind but, gosh, they had to know what she was thinking!!! Her hesitation about joining them in the elevator was all too obvious now. Her face was flushed. She couldn't just stand there, so with a mighty effort of will she picked up one foot and stepped forward and followed with the other foot and was on the elevator. Avoiding eye contact, she turned around stiffly and faced the elevator doors as they closed. A second passed, and then another second.... Her fear increased! The elevator didn't move. Panic consumed her. My God, she thought, I'm trapped and about to be robbed! Her heart plummeted. Perspiration poured from every pore. Then one of the men said, "Hit the floor." SO SHE DID!!! The bucket of quarters flew up in the air as she threw up her arms and collapsed on the elevator floor. A shower of coins rained down on her. Take my money and spare me, she prayed. More seconds passed. She heard one of the men say politely, "Ma'am, if you'll just tell us what floor you're going to, we'll push the button." The one who said it had a little trouble getting the words out. He was trying so hard not to laugh. The woman lifted her head and looked up at the two men. They reached down to help her up. Confused, she struggled to her feet.
"When I told my friend here to hit the floor," said the average-sized one, "I meant that he should hit the ELEVATOR BUTTON for our floor. I didn't mean for YOU to hit the floor!" He bit his lip. It was obvious he was having a hard time not laughing. The woman thought, my God, what a spectacle I've made of myself. She was too humiliated to speak. She wanted to blurt out an apology, but words failed her. How do you apologize to two perfectly respectable gentlemen for behaving as though they were going to rob you? She didn't know what to say.. The three of them gathered up the strewn quarters and refilled her bucket.
When the elevator arrived at her floor, they insisted on walking her to her room. She seemed a little unsteady on her feet, and they were afraid she might not make it down the corridor. At her door they bid her a good evening. As she slipped into her room she could hear the echoes of laughter as they walked back to the elevator. The woman, extremely embarrassed, pulled herself together and went downstairs for dinner with her husband.
The next morning flowers were delivered to her room - a dozen roses. Attached to EACH rose was a crisp one hundred dollar bill. The card said:"Thanks for the best laugh we've had in years."
It was signed; Eddie Murphy Michael Jordan

Kodak moment Finally caught!!!

I FINALLY GOT DESIREES Smile on camera, you know how it is the second you get out the camera when they are all happy and cooing and so on they stare at the camera and instead of smiling for it they look perplexed, but I guess I Caught her off guard so to speak...ha ha! SO here they aren't aint she cute???

House Pics

Sooo we went up to Lemoore this weekend to check things out and wow first of all might I say its HOT UP THERE!!! Anyhoo we checked out Lemoore and Hanford which is a city where my Aunt and Grandma say most people live, and we saw some nice brand new houses for sale, one of which we really liked...its a 3Bedroom with a den downstairs and a huge extra room upstairs so in all actuality its a 5 bedroom house, its 2900 square feet, has a gorgeous Kitchen, nice appliances and light fixtures in all the rooms, (which to some may not mean anything or may wonder why I am mentioning that but for all those of you that live in San Diego know that most houses out here have NO CEILING LIGHTS you have to provide your own stand up ones, why I DON"T KNOW!!!!) anyhoooo its on a HUGE LOT you could fit a pool, a play area for kids and more...and best of all its way cheaper then SD!!!! All that to say it was a good time, we also got to visit some friends of ours, they have a 4 year old boy named Trei and the two of them had a great time...I will post photos of them playing but first pics of the house we really loved!!!!!!!!!!!!!
