We ended our stay here in Monterey with a nice dinner at Fishhopper overlooking the bay. We had fresh Fish, steak and lobster, mmmmm it was good!!! And oh yes, Duane indulged in a huge drink called Bucket of fire it was served with a small flame that you blow out as you make a wish... I saw this Elvis statue in a gift store and thought of you Mom!!

Dennis the Menace Park

We took the kids to the Dennis the Menace park which is near where we are staying. Trei's eyes nearly popped out of his head as there was so much to do there and explore. Their all time favorite was the bridge and Roller slide.

We rented a bike thingy today and biked along the coast by Fishermans wharf. I have been wanting to do that for awhile now. It was a gorgeous day and great view, afterwords we went to the beach for a bit.

We went to the Monterey Bay aquarium today, it sure has changed since the last time I went as a kid. We had a great time, so much to see and do.

We are staying at the Army base in Monterey in a two bedroom cottage. Funny thing is there are deer everywhere, they aren't scared at all of people. While at the park with the kids we saw a baby deer under the playscape so they kids were able to get up real close. Its so neat to look out the window and see deers outside. I snapped a few pics of the kids today/

Toady was the last day of school for the kiddos, they had water day with water blasters and soaked all their friends and teachers too. A fun way to end the school year. We then picked them up and headed to Monterey for the weekend. It so pretty here and its nice to see water as opposed to cows and corn fields. Yay!

Just wanted to thank each and everyone of you that called, sent texts, cards and gifts for my birthday, it was very nice of you and meant alot! I had a nice birthday, the kids were more excited then I was to celebrate my birthday. They both counted down the days starting May 1st, and Trei made me a birthday banner two days early and hung it up which was so sweet of him! He asked me what I wanted for my birthday and I told him I would like to have sushi for dinner, so Trei and Desiree came up with this idea of putting 31 candles into the sushi and then singing Happy Birthday to me. So we did that, it was pretty funny! It was a fun day, thanks!

This past Friday the school had a carnival for the kids. They had bounce houses, booths with games, a cake walk and more. They had so much fun playing. The school also had a competition between teachers, they had jars that the kids filled with money, whoever got the most money in their jar had to kiss a pig. Turns out the school principal won and had to kiss a pig. The kids loved it!

Trei's class had a small graduation this past Thursday, Duane got back just in time to attend it. They sang a few songs, got a certificate, and had a little party afterwords. They don't get out of school till next week, but it was a cute ceremony and he is looking forward to 1st grade!!!

Good news!!! Went to my "communication" class this morning to get my final grade and turn in extra credit work, and my istructor said I didn't need to take the final my grade was as high as it could get. YAY, I'm done with this semester, best part, I got an A+!!!

Wow its been a busy week of studying for my finals next week which ironically fall on my birthday whooo hooo! oh wait, not so much...at least when I am done I can celebrate!

This past Saturday was Trei's final tennis game and they all received little medals. It was pretty cute, they were all so excited!!!

A friend of mine came over the other nite to have dinner and brought the kids these silly straws, nerdy looking but they loved them!!!! Think they may be good when you have a headache as if the water is cold enough it would cool your head...heh!
