Happy Birthday Daddy!

We celebrated Duane's "30th" three times last month, twice in San Francisco and then when we got back home as Trei just realized what Birthdays are all about this year and wanted to make Daddy a Cake and sing Happy brithday! We threw a surprise party for him one afternoon while Feli, Marco and Amy were visiting last month and here are the pics from it, yea it took me awhile to post them, I'll admit I am really behind in my blogging I have been entirely too busy recently, not too busy to take pictures but too busy to go online or post anything! Sorry!

Nite out at Buck's!

We went to "Buck's" for Duane's 30th, actually we celebrated his Birthday a few times while we were there...anyhoooo, "Buck's" is a VERY Cool and unique restaurant in Woodside, it is decorated with every odd/bizzare and wacky unusual decor', art and memorabillia...We all loved the place, I took too many pictures as you will see. For Duane's birthday the Waiters came out with trombones and trumpets which they had no clue how to play and sang Happy Birthday & gave him a HUGE Ice Cream Sundae. Trei just loved it, he now understands what Birthdays are and loves singing "Happy Birthday", so he was in Awe.

Alcatraz

Going to Alcatraz was one of the Highlights of the trip for me, I have seen sooo many documentaries on the place and have always found it Fascinating. It was raining the day we went which added some atmosphere...We happend to get there during Trei's normal Nap time so he was VERY CRANKY and rambunctious, all that to say he spent a Time out in "D Block" for a few mintues...Most folks passing by found it comical since thats where the "Solitary confinement" cells were located, I guess now after the fact I find it rather comical too.

Trip to the Fire Department.

I took Trei to the annual Open House at the Fire Department here in Hanford and he had a blast...We got to ride on an antique Fire engine which Trei loved and made me wonder how they used to put out fires ages ago with such a small truck and little equipment. They had a bunch of different activities for the kids to do, and Trei's favorite was exploring the Fire Engine and all the many Knobs and buttons it had. He had his photograph taken by a local newspaper, we shall see if it gets posted in tomorrow's paper...

We are back...

We just got back from a 4-day family reunion up in the bay area, it was a good time, good food and I took way too many photos that I will post just as soon as I upload them...The first day we did a bus tour of SAN FRAN and stopped at the Golden gate Bridge, then we went on a ferry to Alcatraz which was a good time, I have always wanted to go there!!! The next day we spent at Grandma's the kids went swimming together then she took all of them (With us parents of course) to TOYS R US and gave them some Money and then let them loose on the store to pick out some toys, I think that was one of the highlights of the trip for the kids...Other then that we went out to eat every nite and chilled at the Hotel...It was nice to see everyone, there was us 6 grandkids, the spouses and then 9 great grandkids....so yea, lots of excitement and action at dinner times ha ha! We also celebrated Duane's 30th birthday there, we went to Chevy's and they gave him a Mexican hat and sang him "Happy Birthday" their style, then the following nite we ate at a restaurant called "Buck's" that is the coolest restaurant I have ever been too, they have "Odd, unusual and fascinating" things all over the restaurant...They told them it was Duane's birthday the day before so the waiters came out with a HUGE Sundae and bagpipes, trumpets and every other instrument which NONE of them could play and sang Happy Birthday, it was a great time....Lots of fun. Will post the pics shortly!!!
