I had Desiree's hair in braids for two days and when I took them out her hair was all kinky so I put it up in a ponytail, moments later she busts out her rollerskates Grammy gave her for Christmas and started dancing. I took a few Pictures of her.

Well I got an "A" on my Demonstration speech this morning. My topic: "how to make irresistble chocolate chip cookies". I was gonna do the green salsa but after repeated practice with added tips it still only amounted to 3 mins and I needed a 6-min. speech.
I had a tough act to follow, my friend Evelyn did a very good speech on how to use "Cheater chopsticks" her presentation and explanation was good. The Teacher even pointed her out at the end on her "Excellent presentation/demonstration". Perhaps I will go after one of the other students in the class like Ms. Dairy princess next time.
I am happy I got an "A" just disappointed that I forgot to end with a good closing line like I had practiced repeatedly. Though I have to say my sample I passed around of the cookies went over real well.
I know an "A" is the best (I got a 94%), but I am a perfectionist and as much time and practice I put into it I shouldn't have forgotten the memorable closing line which took away some points from being 100%. Thankfully I get graded on my outline too and it was included there.

Valentine Parties at school

The kids exchanged Valentines today at school, When I went to pick them up they had Huge bags filled with Teddy Bears, candy, Chocolate, Play-dough, Pencils, coloring pads and more. The amount of candy I got will last us till Easter. heh!

Trei & Mikayla (his classmate that has a major crush on him) decorating their Valentine cookies!
Desiree and Payton enjoying their Treats.

Swim lessons

The kids started their one-on-one swimming lessons yesterday. Trei chose to swim as opposed to playing T-Ball this year. His Coach Ross, was a former Junior Olympian who got injured, and his Mom was his trainer who is teaching Desiree... They love the fact that they get one-on-one time as opposed to a group setting...They both swim but they are teaching them how to do the Breast-stroke (freestyle) and will teach them the butterfly, backstroke and how to dive. After their 45-minute session Desiree swam the entire length of the pool doing the Breast-stroke, the instructor was very impressed at her swimming skills and ability to learn quickly. I snapped a few pics of them!

Brainstorming

Went to my Public Speaking class this morning, our next speech is supposed to be a 4-6 minute Demonstrative Speech. So I am brainstorming Ideas of what to do, a few I have come up with so far are:
1.How to make Chocolate Chip Cookies
2.How to exercise (demonstrate a specific exercise or routine)
3.How to brew a perfect cup of coffee (since I use a drip coffee machine that may be comical to those who are experts.)

Any Input???

Happy Birthday Sis!

So yes I know these pictures are from a few years back, we both have much shorter hair now and have aged a bit from lack of sleep and Motherhood..heh! But it was all I could find and you wouldn't let me snap a picture of you on your birthday ahem...and besides, I like them both alot! Happy Birthday Feli, You never cease to amaze me, your hillarious comments and gestures when things are tough put things into perspective and make me laugh!!! Not alot of people have that talent...You are also a great listener and nothing shocks or surprises you & best of all you don't pass judgement on anyone.
Wishing you the best this year in all you do! Glad I was able to spend your birthday with you even though the service at "Chili's" was unreal...Think we all should have had a "1800 chambord margarita"without the "orange"...ha ha!

News Pic

I saw this picture in the News today, Pretty amazing. But if you look at the Tigers eye though, it almost a bit scary the way he is looking at the Baby.

Made it back home today, Arrived in Fresno after a hassle free flight and went to lunch with Duane and The Kids before we headed to "Disney on Ice". We bought the tickets early January and didn't realize the timing was the same time as the Super Bowl. Guess alot of people didn't as it was sold out. We got awesome seats 2 rows up from the center Ice! The program was great, the kids enjoyed "Cars" the best out of the whole show! I took a bunch of pictures and will post them once I make a slideshow of all of them!
If you have young kids and get the oppourtunity to see it, its totally worth it!!!

Whatta week!

Its been a Crazy, busy but exciting week!!! I started out with enrolling and taking classes at COS, I crashed the Public speaking one as it was the day before you could add or drop classes and the Instructor told me they had already done 4 lectures but if I was able to give a speech the next day I could be added...I said "sure" and gave my "Cultural Artifact" speech yesterday!
It was stressful to come up with & rehearse a Speech in 1 day when everyone else had 2 weeks, but he said I did very well, so I am pleased and happy I decided to take the course! I have alot of catching up to do in the Music class I am taking but once I do I think things will be smooth sailing!
In other News Trei and Desiree completed "100 lessons" at school so they had a special day at school. Trei had to build something that contained 100 objects, (noodles, Cereal, buttons, etc) he chose a "starfighter" and Daddy helped him build it..They made "Fruit Loop" necklaces with 100 Fruit Loops and did activities that pertained to "100".
I snapped some pics and will upload them later when I get home as I am down in SD for a few days seeing family and Dropping of my car, Michy bought it from me! I have had that car since 2002, its bittersweet....Glad its staying in my family...
