Black Friday

Soooo, I have never gotten up early to go shopping on Black Friday but this year I saw they had some good toy sales at "Toys R US" so I figured I would get up early and see if I could snag some. I figured since we live in the middle of nowhere there would be no lines at the stores, boy was I wrong...I got there 15minutes before opening (5a.m.) and there was a line around the block to get in. Rumor had it that there were people camped out the night before so they could be the 1st ones in. When I heard that I figured since I was up and there I would just see whats left after the 200 people in front of me did. When the doors opened promptly at 5a.m. people started pushing, and squeezing their way into the line and store, but when I made it in it was worse, grown folk fighting over toys and pushing each other out of the way, it was unreal. An employee told me that this was mild compared to previous years..so I just walked around and left and came home and crawlled back into bed with a promise to never get up that early again on Black Friday. I don't think there is anything I want that bad that I have to get up that early, I will resort to staying in my warm bed catching some zzzz's and going shopping at a more Godly hour.

Well I sure have a lot to be thankful for, healthy happy kids, a wonderful Husband, a nice home, good food and family (my brother Mike and sister-in-law) to share Thanksgiving with! Happy Thanksgivng everyone, may we all give thanks!!!

Today Trei's school had a Thanksgiving Feast and we were all invited! We each brought some food for a potluck...It was cool cause the items we were asked to bring were catered to what kids want on Thanksgiving like Chicken Nuggets, Spaghetti, Cookies, Jello and then they made soup with their teachers to share with us. They also got up on stage and performed two songs...Funny thing is Trei had been singing the songs all week long at home but when it came time to sing them on stage he just stood there and smiled and let the other kids sing...ha ha! Sooo like I mentioned in a previous post, I took the kids down to San Diego last weekend to pick Duane up and spend some time down there. We stayed with my parents for a few days and they gave Trei his Birthday present early since they aren't sure if they will be here for his birthday. It was a red Scooter just what he had been telling me he wanted for his birthday...he played for hours on it...My brother and sister-in-law also came over to watch the "Cowboys" game with Duane and Dad and during comercials and half time they played football outside..good times!!! San Diego Zoo

We took the kids to the San Diego Zoo this past weekend and had a great time, it was a gorgeous day and my Mom and Dad decided to join us! We went to the kids "Petting zoo" corner where the big White goat ate our Zoo maps and tickets right out of Duanes pocket which Trei still can't stop talking about....then we went to the flmaingo corner and somehow Desiree lost her shoe one minute she had it on while looking at the flamingos and the next it was gone, not sure if it went over the side and into the flamingo cage..heh! We then toured the zoo and took a ride on a Double Decker bus...It was a good time, took lots of pics so enjoy!

The Kimodo dragon from Indonesia..I had NEVER heard of it till Mom once bought a bag of Starbucks coffee named that and it was BOOOOOOOOLD To say the least, I said what a weird name for coffee and Mom told me that there is an animal named that in Indonesia...Never saw one till the Zoo today....Wouldn't want to meet one out and about either.Mom having fun! The Notorious Goat that ate our Zoo maps and tickets... Chilin'

Bouncin' Fun!

We took the kids to "Pump it up" (Inflatable playplace) today to play for an hour and a half which totally wiped them and us out...I know why they say its good to have kids young and secondly to stay in shape for them. Even though I manage to workout for an hour 6 days a week it still wore me out a little, I can only imagine if I didn't...heh!

Headed down to San Diego tomorrow to pick up Duane who has been on the ship for a week! Hoping to go to the zoo with the kids and spend some time with Duane! Looking forward to getting outta Hanford for the weekend!

Baby News

My sister Feli just announced she is expecting at the end of May (my birthday whoo hoo!)....Congratulations Feli and Marco. Hope you have a wonderful pregnancy. My prayers are with you!

Trick or Treat

Here are the pics from Trick or Treating, Trei went as Batman, Desiree as a princess, they had sooo much fun running from house to house with their friends yelling Trick or Treat and man did they come back with a big haul of candy!

Duane came home last nite with a surprise for me, a gift certificate for a 40min massage today...how nice and most unexpected!!!My back has been killin' me so it was just what I needed. Thanks Honey!
