Field Trip to Jamestown.

Trei's class took a trip to Jamestown Friday. Both Duane and I were able to go and they had a fascinating time seeing everything they have been reading about in history. Most recently they have been studying the book "Blood on the River", so this trip really brought it all to life for them. Here are some pictures we snapped.

This Sunday Duane took the kids fishing on our dock. Trei caught his first fish and as you can see, was thrilled!!! Hoping Desiree catches one soon!

International Day at School

Last Friday the kids had International day. They could dress up from any country or city they liked and sample food from around the world. At the top is a picture of Desiree in the buffet line next to the authentic German Chocolate cake we brought to share.

Desiree and I made a ton of different necklaces, bracelets and rings from her pop beads Grandma Millie sent awhile back. It was pretty fun and here she is posing with them and her dog.

Duane took Trei to the carrier a couple of months ago and snapped these pics that I only just discovered now. They remind me of the ones I took of Trei the very first time he went on a carrier when he was 12 months old.

Summer in October

We were blessed with Summer like weather this past weekend so we took advantage of it and went to the beach! Here are some of the fun things the kids and I did.

Virginia Beach hosts an annual sand sculpting contest, featuring sculptors from around the world. I took the kids last Sunday and it was pretty awesome!
