Happy Birthday Evan
Today was My nephew Evans 5th birthday and we got to celebrate it with him. The kids had a party with lots of balloons, balloon hats, and lots of yummy cheese cake and Ice cream. Trei had sooo much fun playing with the balloons and seeing all the kids running around, it was alot of excitement and fun for him that when it came time for the cake and Ice Cream he fell asleep...It was the first Birthday party he had been too besides his own and he had lots of fun! Happy Birthday Evan...

Update From Duane.
So I asked Duane to send me an update and some photos of whats going on since everyone is interested so I will include that below, as you will see in the photos he has ALOT of hair, he said when he left he was gonna try and grow it out as long as he could before they told him to cut it, but he said it got too hot so he shaved it a few weeks ago...so he is once again "MR. Clean"...ha!
I also received an e-mail from him a little over a week ago saying they made it to the gulf, so please do keep him and all of them in your prayers, thank you.
Here is what he wrote:
"Since we left in Feb 1st, I've flown about 50 hours and gotten about 20 traps. Nothing major as we've made 2 port calls, Guam and Singapore, but it's all relative. I can't really go into much more detail than that, but I did just earn my squadron Tactical Lead qual, meaning I can lead a section (2) of Vikings on a mission and I can fly with the newest pilots in the squadron. The next step is the mission commander qualification which is an Airwing Qual (I can lead a mission that includes all the different planes in the wing), and the highest tactical qual you can get in the S-3 without going to our weapons school. I'm currently the only level three NFO in the squadron, everyone else is either a mission commander or the next level below me. To put this in perspective, there are only 2 NFOs that are the same rank as me that are mission commanders. Thats about all I can share here, thanks everyone for your daily prayers, we need them!!!"
Masquerade Party
Here are some photos that were taken at a "Masquerade party" at my sister Amy's house awhile back when I was staying with her...I wasn't planning on going to it but since Trei went down for the nite I figured I would check it out for a bit which explains why I don't have a mask in these photos...Of course someone felt the urge to give me one, it was a black "Wanna be Batman" mask or something like that, (Not that I am wearing it in any of the photos).Anyway it was a fun party and hope you enjoy the photos...

New Photos
I know, I know, I am wayyyyy past due in updating my blog and posting Photos but the truth is since we moved we have been VERY BUSY, First Trei got Very sick, it was his 1st real fever and cold, so he wasn't his normal happy himself and kept me REAL BUSY and away from the computer, then we moved to Dallas and had to adjust and now finally I am getting a little time to post the photos we took since I have been here. As you will see Trei is having so much fun with his Grandparents and cousins, I am so happy that he is getting time to play with other kids as he doesn't get that oppourtunity too often at home. Hope you enjoy the Photos!!!
