Visit

Last nite My Mom and Sis Michelle drove in all the way from Dallas to help me out while Duane is gone...Long trip for them, they made it here in 2 days!!! Sure is nice to see them and have them here, Trei just loves it!!!

SURPRISE BABY SHOWER!!!

Yesterday afternoon my 2nd Mom (as I like to call her) Cindy, came over and threw me a surprise Baby Shower...I have to say I was sooo surprised and touched that she would think of me and drove all the way down from Encinitas (Hour Drive) after just recovering from a Broken Leg to do this for me. My Friend Ang also deserves credit for this baby shower as her and her Mom (Cindy) both arranged this for me even though Ang wasn't able to attend...We missed you Ang!!! Cindy came in and cleared the dining room table and set up a center Piece, brought balloons and bags and bags of stuff for the baby! I was shocked to say the least...It was her and I talking and opening all the presents and Wow there were ALOT!!! They both thought of Everything, Onesis, Pajamas, Layette sets, bottles, bottle brush, diaper bag, Booties, Tons of cute clothes, a workout outfit for her (cause she has to have one if I am her Mom...), Pacifiers, toys, rattles, mobile, and the list goes on and on... She was thoughtful she even brought Trei 2 gifts so he wouldn't feel left out while we were opening up all the baby girl stuff...He got a "I'm the Big Brother book" with a boy that looks a lot like him and he got an Elmo coloring book...he was sooo happy and had a fun time too! I was wishing that both Duane and my good friend Ang who helped arrange this baby shower would have been here...but since they weren't able to I took a bunch of pictures to show them...Thanks so much Cindy and Ang, you made my day and my daugher is gonna not only be the cutest girl around but the best dressed!!!

I thot this was pretty funny especially the ending! I think all you Mom's out there will apreciate it...
A man was sick and tired of going to work every day while his wife stayed home. He wanted her to see what he went through so he prayed:
"Dear Lord:I go to work every day and put in 8 hours while my wife merely stays at home. I want her to know what I go through, so please allow her Body to switch with mine for a day. Amen." God, in his infinite wisdom, granted the man's wish...
The next morning, sure enough, the man awoke as a woman. He arose, cooked breakfast for his mate, awakened the kids, set out their school clothes, fed them breakfast, packed their lunches, drove them to school, came home and picked up the dry cleaning, took it to the cleaners, and stopped at the bank to make a deposit, went grocery shopping, then drove home to put away the groceries, paid the bills and balanced the checkbook. He cleaned the cat's litter box and bathed the dog. Then it was already 1 P.M. and he hurried to make the beds, do the laundry, vacuum, dust, and sweep and mop the kitchen floor. Ran to the school to pick up the kids and got into an argument with them on the way home. Set out milk and cookies and got the kids organized to do their homework, then set up the ironing board and watched TV while he did the ironing. At 4:30 he began peeling potatoes and washing vegetables for salad, breaded the pork chops and snapped fresh beans for supper.
After supper, he Cleaned the kitchen, ran the dishwasher, folded laundry, bathed the kids, and put them to bed. At 9 P.M., he was exhausted and, though his daily chores weren't finished, he went to bed where he Was expected to make love, which he managed to get through without complaint.
The next morning, he awoke and immediately knelt by the bed and said, "Lord,I don't know what I was thinking. I was so wrong to envy my wife's being able to stay home all day. Please, oh please, let us trade back."The Lord, in his infinite wisdom, replied, "My son, I feel you Have learned your lesson and I will be happy to change things back to the way they were.You'll just have to wait nine months, though. You got pregnant Last night."

Pizza Nite

A couple friends of mine and I got together this afternoon for a "Mother/Kids get together", we had Pizza, salad and fruit platters and the kiddos got to play together. It was nice to just sit and relax and have some "Grown up" talk, it wiped Trei out though, he was begging for "Nite Nite" at 7:45p.m. so we went home and he was out like a light! Hopefully I will do the same here in a few hours...(Crossing my fingers here)...

Play Date

Yesterday My sister Claire and her son Emmer aka. "Cubby Wubby" came down to play with Trei for the afternoon as I had a DR's appt. Thankfully I finished quicker then expected so we all got to hang out together and had dinner together. It was fun to see the Boys play together, they get along SO WELL!!!! Trei was showing "Cubby" all his toys and pictures of "Daddy" that are up in his room. Its sooo nice for Trei to have someone other then Mommy to play with...makes its easier for the both of us. Sure wish they lived closer to each other! Here are a few pics of their play date!

Insomnia

Guess its back to insomnia for me, the last 3 nites I have been soo exhausted but the second I get into bed I Can't sleep, its most annoying! I even try to skip out on my daily naps with Trei to ensure I am extremly tired at nite--which works well--but then the second I crawl into bed I can't sleep a wink...grrrr....I talked to Duane this morning on the phone he said "Well Honey, you may just be at that stage in pregnancy where you can't sleep"..to which I replied NOOOOOO I can't be, I refuse to be since I still have 7 weeks left...but one can never tell, hopefully its just a SHORT stage I am going thru and eventually the exhaustion will catch up with me and will win!

Long Day

Wow today was an enitrely too long of a day for me...Hardly slept a wink last nite had some contractions, way to early for me to be having contractions like that but it sure got me remembering what "Labor" was like....OUCH!!!! 6 weeks till that happens again!
We woke up at 5:30a.m to drop Duane off on base for his flight, it was sad to see him go but thankfully its only for a little more then Two weeks which doesn't seem too long in comparison to his deployments! I figured we were up and out so I took Trei to Glorietta park on the Island, of course I was the ONLY One there at 7:30 in the morning...ha ha! My goal was to wear him out so we could come home and take an early nap since I was exhausted....Thankfully it worked we were back home by 10a.m and took a nap for a bit but then it just seemed like the day would never end, guess cause we got a REAL early start on it..I sorta ran out of ideas around 2p.m. today but managed to make it till tonite (just barely)and its only 8p.m. but I am BEAT and ready to crawl into bed for a few hours before Trei wakes up and we do it all over again...All that being said, good nite!!!

Duane's Trip

Had a somewhat busy day today, getting ready for Duane to leave tomorrow for 3 weeks abroad...Trei has gotten REAL Attached to "Daddy" recently so thats gonna be tough, I am sure he will ask where Daddy is and wonder why he doesn't come home at night. Duane told him he was gonna be gone for a bit but little kids really have no concept of time so I am sure he is gonna be looking for him throughout the house. My Mom is headed down here though this coming Sunday to stay with us while he is gone, thanks Mom! Gonna miss you alot Honey, Be Safe and Hurry Home!!!

BBQ

Had a nice BBQ today with my Brother and his family, they came down from Fallbrook and Duane grilled some Steaks and Chicken and some Hot Dogs for the kiddos. We made some Margaritas and it was a fun relaxing afternoon! Gotta love 3-Day weekends!!!

"Curious George"

We Took Trei this afternoon to see "Curious George" at the theater, it was his first time at the movies...We got him a Kids snack pack, popcorn, drink and gummy bears and he had a fun time. It was a cute movie though it was a wee bit long for a kids movie, 1 1/2 hours but it was alot of fun especially to see Trei's reaction to it! Here is a pic of him and Daddy...

Valentines Day

First of all I want to say "Happy Valentines day" to my Wonderful Husband Duane, I am soooo thankful to have met you and have you in my life. I am truly blessed!!! Thank you for all you do for me and for the kind, caring, wonderful and Hot Husband you are!!!
Today was a busy but good Valentines day...I had a DR's appt which my sister Amy came over to watch Trei for (Thanks sooo much Amy)...then we came home and Duane, Trei and I went out to "Islands" for Dinner, we brought along "our Nanny" aka. the portable DVD Player so Trei would be entertained while we had a nice dinner!!! Seems alot of people had "Islands" in mind for Valentines day, but thankfully we didn't wait too long. The food was good and we then came home to enjoy a relaxing evening. Duane got me a nice pair of sunglasses and a Necklace with a "Locket" on it that holds 2 pictures he said one picture of Trei and one of our new baby once she is born!!! He also came home with a Single Red Rose...sooo nice, thank you baby!!! It was a good Valentines day!

Sea World

We went to Sea World Sunday with my good friend Karen, and her brother David, it was a gorgeous day, real warm so it was a great day to be outside. We went around to a good amount of the exhibits Polar bears, Penguins, Clydesdales, and then lastly to "Happy Harbor" which is Trei's favorite and let him play on all the play equipment and in the water which he loved...It wore us all out, Trei crashed on the ride home and the rest of us wanted too..the rest of the evening was pretty "low key", ordered a Pizza and some "Greek Salad" and ordered Madagascar which we all enjoyed!!! It was a Good and fun but tiring day!!! Here are the pics.

We took Trei to get his 2nd hair cut this weekend, we decided to take him to a "Kids Cut" place where they have toys, special "Car chairs" they can sit in and Little TV's for them to watch all while they are getting their hair cut...He initially cried while he was getting his hair washed but once the lady gave him a Lolly-pop to suck on and Turned on "Dora the Explorer" he was happy as can be. Wish they had Tv's where I get my hair done..anyways it was nice cause Trei enjoyed it this time around and hopefully he will associate getting his haircut as something fun!!! Anyways here are some pictures...

My wonderful Husband!

I know I often post about Duane and how wonderful he is but I still feel like you can never say I LOVE YOU and Thank You enough to someone who goes out of their way to show they love you!!! Today He once again took Trei so I could sleep in, have a relaxing morning, workout, go shopping and then My girlfriend Karen Flew in from Virginia to spend the weekend with us so he took Trei again so we could go out and get our nails done...It was fun to have some "Girl time" and girl talk, something I don't get much of at all these days. Tomorrow we are headed to Sea World for a day of fun!

Swimming In February???

The past 2 weeks here have been VERY WARM here to say the least...its has been around 75-80 degrees at least here in Chula Vista/Eastlake area...Today I decided to fill up Trei's swimming pool and let him cool off a bit which he enjoyed...I have to say we are pretty blessed to have "Spring" weather in the middle of February!
