Baby Shower

Today the OSG (Officer Spouse Group) hosted a Baby shower for me and two other girls in our squadron that are expecting...Mom watched the baby for me and Duane watched Trei so I could go which was nice...It was a fun nite, we had appetizers, dinner, games and dessert and then were given a bunch of presents--adorable summer outfits, shoes, Pj's, bath toys etc--It was wonderful!!! We also of course sat around talking, oddly enough I was one of the ones that was a "Veteran" so to speak since I had 2 kids and no one else has any yet, so they were asking me everything...it was funny since I am one of the youngest ones there..Oh well, Hopefully the advice I gave is helpful to them!!!Thanks ladies for throwing us a baby shower, it was alot of fun!!!

Afternoon at the movies

Today Mom and Dad watched our two kiddos so we could go out to the movies...Its been a LONG time since we have done that --by long I mean since we were in Dubai almost a year ago--, all that to say it was unexpected and we had a great time...we watched "The Sentinel" with Michael Douglas, Keifer Sutherland and Kim Basinger...I liked it personally, it was another "president Movie" but I enjoyed it...Sure was nice to have a couples afternoon out, thanks Mom and Dad!!!

Happy Easter!!!

Happy Easter to all our dear Family and friends today!!! We spent our morning reading to Trei the "Easter Story" from his Bible book and having a devotional morning with him then he helped me make some Apple Pies for Dinner tonite. My Brother Mike and his family are coming over and my parents are gonna be here as well, should be a fun time with family... I will make sure to take lots of pictures with our new digital camera...ha ha, watch out folks! Oh yea Duane bought Trei a little Easter Basket with some cars in it which he was happy to get.

Just Because...

Today My Wonderful Husband made me breakfast, and went out to get some groceries and brought me home a Dozen Pink Roses just because...I was very touched, thank you Honey for everything you do for me on a day to day basis and for all your help with Trei since the baby has been born and for taking care of me too, making sure I rest and making me breakfast every morning...I know I tell you this ALOT but I Love you and am Blessed to have you in my life!!!

We took Desiree in for her 2 week appt today and when they weighed her she was 8lbs 6 ozs and 21 inches long...The pediatrician did a double take on her chart and reweighed her as the last time we took her in (4 days after brith) she was 6 pounds 8 ozs. All that to say she gained 2 pounds and grew an inch in 10 days!!! We are proud! ha ha! Alot of my friends and family tell me that I have small babies, but they sure do bulk up afterwords...I think in a way its better that way..less painful if you know what I mean. She LOVES her food and is serious about it, thats for sure! What a little porker...

Happy Birthday Marco!!!

Happy 30th to my Brother-in-law Marco!!! Hope you have a wonderfully fun day, I am sure you will get a ton of "Over the hill 30" cards, but hey thats whats fun about turning 30 right??? I know alot of folks who just Freak out about turning 30 or like my wonderful Husband say they are getting old (he turns 30 this year)...I personally can't wait to turn 30, I hear its a Woman's Prime, whats not to like about that...I have a few years to go though! Anyhooo this post is to Wish you Marco a great 30th Birthday and year!!! I want you to know I was gonna mail you a card but wasn't sure how long it would take to get to Albania or if it would should up next year for your 31st...ha ha! All that to say I figured I would post a Birthday note instead-a little quicker then "Snail mail"! Wishing you the best!!!

New Camera

We got a new Digital Camera this week, I am sooooooooo happy about that as I take TONS of pictures of my kids and friends and its nice to not have to worry about running out of a roll of film and being able to edit/delete them and best of all know that they turned out okay without having to pay for prints...anyhooooooo all that to say watch out folks I am back with my camera and will be snapping away...nyaaahhhh!

Big Brother

Trei with his new Baby sister minutes after bringing her home from the hospital...He was so happy to see us and meet her, he kept saying "Baby, Baby".We were wondering how Trei would react with the new baby but he has done EXTREMLY well, loves her to pieces and is learning how to be gentle with her. The 1st thing he wanted to do with her was show her his Train set and each train, it was sooo cute he didn't understand why she was just sitting in her car seat sleeping he kept saying "Wake Up"....ha ha! But that didn't stop him, he still showed them to her...He has been amazing with her which we are happy about!

Camera delay

Sorry we haven't posted any photos yet of our beautiful baby girl Desiree, its taken me a few days to get to a computer to post some as I Just got back from the hospital, that and the button on our Digital Camera Broke just a few days before she was born.....BUMMER! (I know Mike knows all about that...) anyhooooo we got some regular film, yup and a regular camera something I haven't used in ages and was a little aprehensive if it would work as I am so used to a digital but thats all we had and I DIDN'T wanna miss out on a "Once in a life time/Kodak Moment" of our baby...thankfully the old school camera worked so as soon as My wonderful Hubby gets them developed I will scan and post them...

On My way...

Was up all nite with some pretty good contractions, I was hoping that they wouldn't kick in till the morning so I could catch some good ZZZZZZ'S before the big day but nope, I ended up walking around and watching a "Bond" movie to keep my mind off them and letting Duane sleep while he can before the Big Day!!! They stopped completly this morning which was a bit surprising I tried to get them rolling again by taking Trei to the park for an hour but no luck, just a few here and there so I guess that means unfortuanently that they will have to induce me again as they have a firm "24 hour" policy when it comes to water breaking and having the baby...so we are off to the Hospital, I have to say I have been waiting for this day to come and now that its here I am terrified, guess cause the last delivery was real tough!!! Mom and Duane are going with me...so please pray all goes well and smoothly...Thanks to my wonderful Sis Mich and Angela (who is visiting us with Dave) for watching Trei for me while I go...Your the best!!! Looks like we are gonna have a "April Fools baby!!!"
